The proposal sought to reflect a deep respect for the site’s historical evolution while bringing a fresh vision of its future potential as an emblematic and socially meaningful public space. The key features of the proposal are few and simple, but transforming in their impact on the visitor experience. The proposal included a new interactive reflecting pool and fountain, new gardens and new seating to improve the social life of the square.
